Have yourself a Barry Little Christmas
For one night only, Barry Morgan will crank up the famous Capri Wurlitzer organ at a family Christmas party at the Capri Theatre on Saturday at 8pm. Barry Morgan is the character in ‘Barry Morgan’s World of Organs’, a stage show with a cult following based on a fictional electronic organ salesman from Adelaide, portrayed by Australian musician and comedian Stephen Teakle. Ignite Unley outdoor cinema
As part of Ignite Unley, The City of Unley’s free outdoor events programme, the animated movie Frozen will be screened tonight at Page Park (corner Cross Road and East Avenue, Clarence Park). Kids are encouraged to dress up and there will be food, refreshments and entertainment from 5pm with the film to commence at sunset.
Christmas in the Square
While shopping at the Ebenezer Night Market tonight (and on December 19th), East End Adelaide presents a living advent calendar with a series of 12 music and dance performances in front of Nano Ready 2 Go in Ebenezer Place over the 12 nights of Christmas starting tonight from 6pm (start times depend on acts). The market starts at 5.30pm and runs until 10.30pm. More information can be found here.

Get Christmassy with the stars of musical theatre and cabaret, Rachael Beck and Michael Falzon, the Adelaide Art Orchestra directed by Timoth Sexton, and enjoy some reimagined Christmas classics with a swinging beat, at the Adelaide Festival Centre’s Christmas Proms. Adelaide Wind Orchestra – An American in Paris
As well as launching their 2015 season, full of new collaborations, venues and programmes, the Adelaide Wind Orchestra will perform the music from ‘An American in Paris’, the 1928 orchestral composition by George Gershwin, at a concert tonight at the Concordia College chapel. West End Xmas Art Market & Carnival
Celebrating the diversity of Adelaide’s West End, this art market and carnival treat shoppers to the sounds, colours and flavours of the precinct with multicultural entertainment and cuisines, live music and performers, market stalls, DJs and more throughout Leigh and Peel Streets on Sunday from 12pm to 10pm (markets until 8pm).

Fashion Icons
This Art Gallery of South Australia spring-summer exhibition showcases glamorous Parisian fashion. Fashion Icons comprises some 90 haute couture garments from the collection of the Musée des Arts Décoratifs, including designs from the late 1940s to the 21st century by the likes of Christian Dior, Gabrielle Chanel, Alexander McQueen, Karl Lagerfeld and Yves Saint Laurent. Fashion Icons: Masterpieces from the Collection of the Musée des Arts Décoratifs, Paris will run until February 15, 2015.
Carols by Candlelight
Celebrating 70 years, Carols by Candlelight will be held on Sunday at Elder Park. Gates open at 2pm, with family activities in the Woolworths Dome at 3pm and Community Carols at 7.15pm. The main concert, featuring Kate Ceberano, James Morrison and Sons, Orianthi, Rachael Leahcar and more, commences at 8pm with fireworks to follow at 9.30pm before the event concludes at 10pm.
Stand Up
For the first time in Adelaide after more than 20 years honing their craft, Trem One and Lazy Grey, Jake Biz and DJ Dcide join forces to co-headline a historic event. The full line-up includes Kings Konekted, Fatty Phew, 469 Mob, Gaz Hazard and more. More information is available here.
Quasi-Ideal aerial dance
Supported by Finsart Inc and Renew Adelaide, Jo Naumann and Fiona Gardner present aerial dance harness performances – Quasi-Ideal – in the front window of the Suzuki showroom on Waymouth Street concludes tonight. “We draw upon the symbolic representation of our social environment to create an interactive performance with ropes and harnesses,” they say. Visibility from the road will ensure an interesting and spectacular display.
