Non-Stop is a flight of terror
Film & TV

So many action movies promise “edge-of-your-seat” thrills, but it’s a rare few that actually deliver. Non-Stop is one of those gems.
Liam Neeson stars as Bill Marks, a US air marshal whose life is thrown into chaos when he receives a series of threatening text messages while on a non-stop transatlantic flight. The anonymous messenger claims they will kill one passenger every 20 minutes unless a large sum of money is transferred to an offshore bank account.
So is it possible to kill an individual on a crowded plane without being seen or heard by other passengers? Apparently so, and as the first body is discovered, Marks realises he must use all his cunning to capture those responsible. With a plane full of suspects and the clock counting down, will he succeed before another passenger is killed?
If you are already afraid of flying, this film will do nothing to allay your fears. The scenes are incredibly tense as Marks (an alcoholic haunted by his own personal demons) struggles to separate victims from villains; I was literally on the edge of my seat for most of the film.

Director Jaume Collet-Serra seems to really enjoy toying with the audience, presenting a series of equally plausible scenarios while keeping the truth closely guarded until the end.
Is an alcohol-fuelled Marks simply imagining this threat? Or could he himself be responsible for the terror being unleashed? Anything is possible in this thriller, which grabs your attention and holds you in its vice-like grip until the final explosive revelation. A clever script creates a seemingly endless ensemble of suspicious characters, while tightly crafted choreography delivers impressive fight scenes within the cramped confines of the plane.
A surprisingly weathered Neeson is brilliant as Marks, a man who is pushed to the limits of his sanity. Julianne Moore stars as fellow passenger Jen Summers, while Michelle Dockery shines as Nancy, a flight attendant caught up in Marks’ desperate plans.
Grab your boarding pass and check your heart beat at the door as Non-Stop takes you on a terrifying journey into the skies.
