The February 9 show, featuring his “All-Star Band”, was announced this morning and will see Taylor joined by special guests Bernard Fanning and Kasey Chambers.

Taylor, a five-times Grammy Award winner with a career spanning almost 50 years, has written some of the most recognisable folk songs, including “Fire and Rain”, “Sweet Baby James”, “Carolina in My Mind” and “Something in the Way She Moves”.  He had his first No. 1 single in 1971 with “You’ve Got a Friend”, written by long-time friend and collaborator Carole King.

Taylor’s last visit to Australia was with King in 2010 as part of the Troubadour Reunion tour and included a show at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre. Next year’s tour will run from February 9 to 18, taking in indoor and outdoor venues, including several wineries, with tickets on sale from October 28.

In 2015, Taylor released the album Before This World, which became his first No.1 on the Billboard charts.
