South Australia’s peak arts industry body is urging the State Government to immediately invest an extra $10 million in the ‘survival and recovery’ of the arts and culture sector, saying it is facing a ‘major crisis’ due to the COVID-19 shutdown.
UPDATED: The Adelaide Festival Centre will close to the public and suspend all performances until April 30 due to COVID-19 and the declaration of a public health emergency in SA, while more arts venues have also been forced to shut their doors or cancel events.
