The Fringe is a month-long artsy love fest but some acts flit in for just one show, so it’s best to book now for these amazing one-night-stands at The Garden.

The line up for Adelaide’s enduring Fringe venue is jam-packed with something for everyone over the 32 days of the festival’s 60th anniversary.
This season, The Garden will host around 112 shows across 17 venues until 15 March with everything from comedy and circus to music and magic.
While many artists set up shop for the duration of Mad March, 20 of The Garden’s shows are limited to one night, meaning tickets are as scarce as water north of Goyder’s Line and punters better hustle to the box office to secure a seat.
Two Aussie comedy classics that will love us and leave are musical-comedy trio Tripod, performing old and new favourites tonight, and Effie looking for love on her phone in “Love Me Tinder” on 29 February.

You’ll also have to be quick to sneak into “The Kay Hole: Hosted by Reuben Kaye” because there is only one late night offering of the debauched variety show on 8 March.
Kate Ceberano
An impressive list of not-to-be-missed musicians will also blow through The Garden for one show only, including Tex Perkins & Matt Walker (27 Feb), The Black Sorrows (5 March), and Renee Geyer (28 Feb). And Kate Ceberano is returning to impress Adelaide once again with the Ceberano + Co., a show filled with her favourites on 15 March.
The entire list of one-night-stands is below, but there are also a few other shows that have limited performances or seating and will therefore sell out quickly.
The Garden Gala, hosted by Fringe Ambassador Fez Fa’naana, is only on Monday nights, so there are only four opportunities to see what will be a very popular way to start a week of Fringe fun.
While on every night, the Maho Magic Bar has extremely limited seating due to the interactive nature of the show. The few lucky patrons who get into the real-life bar will be met by magicians serving up private magic shows along with the drinks.

All these one nighters promise to be amazing, but like all good relationships, it’s best to commit and there is plenty of experiences on offer for multiple return visits to The Garden.
The free Garden Sessions each Saturday afternoon will highlight local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists while Karl Winda Telfer and the Yellaka dancers in Mullawirrayerta / Dry Forest Place will perform a ceremony as the sun sets each night that promises to be a special cultural sharing.

Of course there is also plenty of what has made The Garden the perfect long-term relationship. The all-star line-up of stand-up veterans returns and incudes Tom Gleeson, Dave Hughes, Wil Anderson, Frank Woodley, Joel Creasey, Sammy J, Heath Franklin’s Chopper, Cal Wilson and Jimeoin.
